Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide Actuarial Pricing Support to the Professional Liability Division (PL Programs, Captive Agents, Misc. PL and Design & Environmental)
  • Provide Technical Rate and Product Development Reviews
  • Database Development and Maintenance for Data Analytics
  • Regular Interaction with Arch Underwriting, IT and Compliance Departments


Position Description:

  • Monthly Price/Benchmark Analysis
  • Profitability Reviews by Class, Territory & Coverage
  • Individual Captive Agents Account Pricing
  • Product Development (Competitor Analysis & Rate Filings)
  • Company/Industry Frequency and Severity Trend Studies
  • Pricing New Business Submissions
  • Special Pricing Studies as assigned (Ex., ILFs, Ded. Disc., Etc.)


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Related Field (i.e., Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science)
  • Three to Five Actuarial Exams with a commitment towards CAS Designation
  • Three to Five years of Relevant Work Experience
