Overview

The Manager, HR Operations supervises the activities of HR specialists and analysts in consulting with all levels of management to resolve a variety of business challenges and HR operational issues, including issues of a highly sensitive or confidential nature. The incumbent works across all functional areas of HR to build partnerships and deliver seamless HR operational support. He/she carries out special projects requiring familiarity with all areas of HR and an understanding of the impact that HR operations have on the business. Acts as back-up to HR Specialists to provide HRIS and HR Operations support as needed

Responsibilities

  1. Manages and coordinates work of HR specialists and analysts to ensure high-quality, efficient and effective HR operational support.
  2. Oversees process improvement of systems, metrics and procedures in department to provide quality service and efficiency such as new hire process, offboarding, performance management and HR workflow,
  3. Ensures Arch MI’s policies and practices are administered in compliance with state and federal laws.
  4. Responsible for talent management of direct reports. Manages staff through effective recruitment, selection, training, development, performance management and recognition.
  5. Manages immigration process for company in coordination with legal department and outside counsel. Coordinates with outside vendor on ADA compliance issues.
  6. Oversees the provision of administrative support for recruiting efforts, including calendaring of interviews, coordination of background checks and creation of offer letters.
  7. Reviews HR reporting and analytics, including employment and turnover analysis and develops meaningful and relevant dashboards for management.
  8. Communicates HR policies, procedures and programs through verbal, written, or group presentations to ensure consistency in policy interpretation and administration.
  9. Works collaboratively with local & global HR team members to deliver HR services in alignment with functional objectives and business strategy.

 

 

Qualifications

  1. Strong functional expertise in HR tools, systems, and processes for the management and delivery of a broad array of HR services. Including but not limited to Excel, SuccessFactors, ICIMS, ADP, & eTime.
  2. Demonstrated ability to innovate and an orientation towards continuous improvement.
  3. Strong system-orientation and attention to detail.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to communicate and influence at higher levels in the organization.
  5. Ability to strategically plan and identify issues and bring about resolution. Excellent project-management and project-management skills required.
  6. Excellent organization skills and initiative to improve processes.

 

Education & Experience:

Knowledge and skills required would typically be acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and/or Business, plus 5-7 years related experience. HR certification preferred.
