Partner with business unit(s) to provide analytical insights on pricing, risk selection, and portfolio segmentation.

  • Perform profitability reviews at both the portfolio level and for individual programs
  • Advise on rate filings and provide the necessary support
  • Develop and improve price monitoring tools and benchmark pricing
  • Provide pricing support for large individual risks when needed
  • Develop and improve data sources


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Engineering)
  • Three to five years of casualty actuarial work experience
  • Three to five casualty actuarial exams


Key Competencies:

  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency presenting technical subject matter to non-technical audiences
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently with large amounts of data
  • Strong time management skills


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a programming language (VBA is a plus)
  • Working knowledge of database tools and languages, e.g. Microsoft Access, Cognos, SQL
