Overview

The Servicing Analyst will be responsible for independently working on complex, non-routine policy service items and developing policies and procedures accordingly. The incumbent will make recommendations to management on processing efficiencies, controls and data tracking. The Servicing Analyst will have advanced knowledge of the operational aspects of the servicing applications. The Servicing Analyst will frequently interact with multiple departments and levels across the organization in order to provide reporting updates.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for all aspects of premium processing of Pool/Structured Transactions and MRT including billing, payment reconciliation, and any certificate maintenance requests.
  2. Manage relationships with Structured Transactions and MRT customers and maintain high customer satisfaction. Analyze customer’s portfolio and troubleshoot portfolio issues; provides exception reports and take appropriate action to resolve.
  3. Maintain controls on an audited process. Monitor timely receipt of customer payments and contact customers if payment files are not received as expected. Reconcile customer payments and aged receivables. Produce moderately complex reports and queries for internal and external customers. Prepare weekly and monthly management reports as appropriate.
  4. Identify improvements to processes and make recommendations in conformance with Arch MI’s customer focused quality initiatives.
  5. Develop, maintain, and modify databases and management reports to provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of servicing initiatives.
  6. Prepare monthly and quarterly servicing reports for stakeholders throughout the business unit, ensuring accuracy of data, and providing overview analysis for the recipients.
  7. Participate in company initiatives and projects as needed as the Subject Matter Expert regarding data and reporting and specific areas such as Pool and other Structured Transactions
  8. Participate in regularly scheduled calls and meetings with stakeholders throughout the business unit, understanding their processes and responding to their data and reporting needs in a timely and responsive manner.
  9. Provide reporting and/or recommendations to management and executives through reporting of servicing data.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Knowledge & Skills:

  1. Expert knowledge of Servicing policies, procedures, controls and operational applications with an in depth knowledge of system development life cycle.
  2. Fundamental knowledge of mortgage insurance and accounting.
  3. Excellent MS Office program skills, especially Access and Excel.
  4. Excellent automated processing knowledge and strong web based skills.
  5. Ability to analyze customer portfolios and make recommendations for process improvement.
  6. Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
  7. Excellent understanding of key controls on all auditable processes.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with various levels of internal and external contacts.
  9. Excellent customer service skills to negotiate and manage customer expectations.
  10. Excellent organization and project tracking skills.

 

Education & Experience:

 

Required knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a BA with at least 10 years of related experience or 10-20 years of related customer service and analytic experience.
