Responsibilities

The Position

We are looking for a corporate paralegal to support our Legal team and serve as our corporate secretary. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as corporate secretary including handling all quarterly, annual and ad hoc Board work for several related corporations
  • Prepare and submitting all Insurance Holding Company Act filings for the insurers in our group
  • Supervise employees and/or handling 50 state regulatory filings for licensed entities
  • Liaison with all units in the Company and in the group as needed to provide information necessary for all regulatory and financial filings
  • Organize and maintaining all corporate and Legal department records and contracts
  • Prepare license applications with state insurance departments and otherwise, as needed
  • Pre-review standard corporate contracts

 

Qualifications

Desired Skills

  • Ability to work independently after an initial orientation period
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the company 
  • In-house experience is preferred
  • Insurance/reinsurance experience is preferred
  • Positive and energetic

Required Education/Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 – 10 years of relevant experience
