Overview

The RVP leads a multi-state team of Account Managers, focused on generating corporate revenue through New Insurance Written. Expectations of the RVP are to drive results through multiple strategies that focus on a broad distribution base, new account generation, and growth of business through existing clients.  The RVP manages the strategic direction, development, implementation and effectiveness of territory plans.  The incumbent manages the region independently with guidance on overall strategy and corporate direction from the SVP Field Sales.

Responsibilities

  1. Partners with lender clients to form knowledge driven relationships and ensures Arch US MI’s products and services meet lender needs. Expertly handles complex customer issues through effective problem solving and negotiation.
  2. Drives sales team to achieve stated NIW goals and ensures that production, profitability and quality targets are met or exceeded. Analyzes territories and identifies business opportunities.
  3. Understands competitor strengths and weaknesses and how Arch US MI stands in comparison. Possesses a deep understanding of the differentiated impact of Arch US MI’s offering on the customer’s business and processes and ensures that team is clearly communicating Arch US MI value proposition to customers.
  4. Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of company programs, products and services.
  5. Mentors and coaches AMs in understanding and positioning a complex variety of products and services that will enhance business models of customers. Leads the team to deliver optimal results through deep understanding of the Company’s value propositions, leveraging those offerings that are consistent with the company sales strategy.
  6. Oversees the development and utilization of the Account Manager’s account level strategic plans. Using performance based metrics to monitor progress and performance.
  7. Manages and monitors the AMs’ engagement, data integrity, and usage of SalesForce.com. SFDC is the CRM platform used for business planning, contact management, account details and is the source of record for call patterns and crediting. Daily, weekly review and analyzation of data, directing efforts as needed.
  8. Collaborates with National Accounts to ensure timely and effective sales execution for national, decentralized accounts within the assigned region and AMs that would grow, develop and maintain the local and regional relationships.
  9. Partners with corporate support groups such as structured products, credit risk and underwriting operations to compliment customer needs, expedite customer requests for programs and products and to effectively balance production and quality objectives.
  10. Collaborates and builds effective relationships with internal strategic partners to assist in the facilitation and program development according to customer needs.
  11. Keeps abreast of both national and local industry trends through networking, board and industry membership group participation and community involvement.
  12. Manages and maintains departmental budgets.
  13. Manages sales staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment, selection, training, development, performance management and recognition.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Skills:

  1. Experience successfully managing and guiding a regional sales team
  2. Self-managed, results oriented and ability to make tough decisions
  3. Excellent customer-focus orientation with the ability to develop and maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Extensive knowledge of sales tactics, practices and procedures.
  5. Ability to achieve credibility, influence and respect with individuals both internally and externally.
  6. Expert problem solving and negotiating skills
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  8. Extensive knowledge of mortgage lending products, policies and procedures.
  9. Strong knowledge of MI products and services.
  10. High level of technical proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel, Outlook, Word and Power Point. Familiarity and high utilization of remote access tools (VPN), Salesforce.com and other web-based tools.

Education & Experience:

Required knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a Bachelors degree and 8+ years related experience. Experience in mortgage lending, affliated mortgage industry business, or financial services business with solid knowledge of mortgage banking is required.
