    The Position

    The Senior Analytics Product Manager is a key member of the Data Analytic Services team and is responsible for ownership of multiple analytic products across the Global Mortgage Group. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a new team, challenged with advancing and leveraging analytics across a global organization. The incumbent reports directly to the SVP, Data Analytics and is responsible for ensuring the business needs of customers are fully understood and are translated into analytic specifications as well as explaining complex analytic models. This key role represents the Data Analytic Services team in meetings and presents to senior/executive management audiences, both internally and externally on a regular basis.


    Job Responsibilities

    • Continuous scanning of the competitive landscape to understand new tools, techniques and data sets being used both within the Mortgage Industry and beyond. Understands and recommends applicability to our business.
    • Provides concentrated focus on Big Data / Machine learning approaches and recommends how these approaches are applicable to the business.
    • Partners with business units across the Mortgage Group (US and non-US) to identify how business needs can be address with new analytic tools / models that are needed, or updates to current tools. Then work with the teams to develop requirements.
    • Based on input from business units as well as central teams, works with the SVP, Data Analytics to develop and execute on the Analytic Roadmap for the Mortgage Group, including ensuring there is a clear plan for where the portfolio of Analytic tools across the group will be in the next ~ 24 months, and tracks progress against that roadmap.
    • Functions as a solo performer on tool development and also directs the work of the model developers to deliver the tools as per requirements, depending on scale of the project.
    • Represents the Data Analytic Services team in sessions with senior management internal clients, external clients as well as regulators. Explains Arch’s modeling tools and approaches and why such tools are a fit for purpose as well as understand any new requirements from key stakeholders.
    • Leads project management of requests from business units to ensure key deliverables are met in a well-managed way.


    Desired Skills

    • Must have deep understanding of statistical modeling techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, GLM and their applicability to business situations.
    • Familiarity with Machine Learning / Big Data analytic techniques.
    • Expert in MS Excel; able to convert raw data into meaningful formats for analysis.
    • Strong attention to detail, analytical and creative/innovative problem solving abilities
    • Excellent project management and team leadership skills and ability to manage critical cross functional projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Very strong interpersonal/communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively present findings, interactively develop project specifications and make recommendations to senior/executive management.
    • Familiarity with SAS product suite including SAS MIP advantageous.
    • Familiarity with mortgage credit risk models.


    Required Education/Experience 

    Required knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a Master’s degree or PhD and a minimum of 8-10 years job-related experience.
