    Responsibilities

    The Position

    The ETL Developer, Invstment Services will be responsible for the data technology strategy, implementation and formulation of data standards specifications for Arch Investment Management (AIM), reporting to the VP, IT Applications, Investment Services.

     

    Job Responsibilities

    • Understand the strategic direction of Arch Investment Management and manage the data requirements to enhance the operation of the business
    • Design and manage the investment data model and data quality architecture
    • Define requirements, development, and test plans in support of the data requirements of the business
    • Prioritize, manage, and communicate plans for system capabilities and deployment
    • Lead technology strategy and methodology for data warehouse and reporting architecture
    • Facilitate and lead interviews with business and IT SME’s to extract/distill business data requirements to drive data initiatives
    • Create and maintain the data dictionary for trusted sources in the environment
    • Provide performance and volumetric projections for models to gear implementations to meet business performance and scalability requirements
    • Assist with data architecture/modeling for DW and BI implementations
    • Project management of issues through the entire system implementation life cycle
    • Participate in the overall IT function and other duties as assigned

    Desired Education/Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field with an advanced degree preferred
    • Investment management experience is required with 10+ years in the industry; direct experience with Risk, Performance Attribution, Accounting, Data Warehousing, Workflow and Reconciliation systems for Investment teams and asset manager is ideal
    • 10 to 15 years experience in development, data warehouse design, data modeling, and technology strategy
