    The Lender Products Division of Arch Insurance Group is located in Kansas City, Missouri. Our experienced staff is uniquely qualified to provide our clients with expertise in all areas of this specialized insurance, from underwriting, coverage and pricing, to regulatory compliance and claims handling.


    We write two broad categories of products: Collateral Protection products and Finance and Insurance (F&I) products, focusing on the underwriting of loan collateral, debt protection, and auto related warranty and service contract risks. Our services are offered through general agents and administrators specializing in the financial institution and automotive industries.






    The Assistant Vice President, Lenders responsiblities include:


    • Oversee development of and act as product manager of F&I products.
      • Including Vehicle Service Contract, Theft Deterrent, Paintless Dent Repair, Tire and Wheel, and other products which are distributed through the F&I channel.
    • Prospect new F&I Administrators.
      • Underwrite F&I large accounts.
      • Structure deals for optimum profitability, including captive reinsurance, retrospective premium adjustment, contingent commissions, and failure to perform set ups.
      • Develop or restructure service contract programs and other F&I products.
    • Work with key personnel to ensure the successful onboarding of new F&I Administrators.
      • Conduct Due Diligence.
      • Execute Agreements, including agency agreements, program agreement, reinsurance and trust agreements as needed
    • Provide key financial and loss analysis to support the business.
      • Develop product profitability reporting.
      • Assist with premium planning process.


    Key Competencies & Technical Skills


    • Excellent verbal and writing skills. 
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Competence in Excel and Word are required.
    • Past exposure to actuarial science and contract writing is highly desirable.

    Education & Experience 


    • Minimum of ten years of increasing responsibilities in underwriting related functions pertaining to Vehicle Service Contracts and other Finance and Insurance marketing channel products.
    • Experience with producer owned reinsurance, including CFC, NCFC, segregated cell, etc.
    • Undergraduate degree is preferred with an advanced degree desirable.
    • Insurance credentials such as a CPCU, ARM, and ARe are also desirable.
