    The AVP- Strategic Accounts achieves market share, NIW and strategic relationship development/management objectives for the strategic accounts through effective utilization and application of highly developed sales strategies and resource allocation/management. The incumbent has direct ownership of meeting new insurance written (NIW), quality and return goals, as assigned by the VP- Business Development

    Responsibilities

    1. Partners with strategic account lenders to form knowledge driven relationships and ensures Arch US MI’s products and services meet lender needs. Expertly handles complex customer issues through effective problem solving and negotiation.
    2. Partners with customer to develop strategies to improve customer’s business in the areas of operational efficiency, training, risk management, etc. Delivers and reinforces company value proposition to grow allocations or solidify strong share position.
    3. Serves as primary liaison for all business interactions and channels of the assigned strategic accounts. Balances customer requests with overall company objectives. Proactively problem solves issues to avoid potential business disruptions.
    4. Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of company programs, products and services.
    5. Proactively communicates with SVP- Regional Accounts, VP-Divisional Manager, and Account Managers to ensure effective coverage of strategic accounts at the regional and local levels.
    6. Ensures all Arch US MI resources assigned to account are effectively utilized and working together in a consistent and cohesive manner to support all aspects of customer needs and fully realize all potential business.
    7. Maintains account information in the customer relationship management (CRM) system, tracking initiatives, identifying objectives and creating strategies to achieve objectives.
    8. Identifies new product/program opportunities and communicates to corporate product development department(s). Collaborates with product development staff on the evaluation, development and implementation of new products/programs.
    9. Keeps abreast of market trends and new developments in mortgage lending. Must understand how changing market trends affect our customers, Arch US MI and Arch US MI’s selling/marketing strategy, then make necessary account strategy modifications.

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    Knowledge & Skills:

    1. Strong mortgage market expertise. Extensive knowledge of mortgage lending and mortgage insurance.
    2. Mastery of selling skills, models, methods and best practices. Effective at handling objections.
    3. Expertise in customer service orientation with the ability to develop and maintain long term customer satisfaction and loyalty. Ability to effectively manage multiple business contacts and their issues.
    4. Strong knowledge of MI products and services.
    5. High level of technical proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel, Outlook, Word and Power Point; Familiarity with and high level of comfort using remote access tools (VPN) and Salesforce.com and other web-based tools.

     

    Education & Experience:

     

    Required knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a Bachelors degree and 5-7 years experience in marketing and related fields.
