    We are seeking an individual that brings a contagious energy and enthusiasm to the position of Training and Development Specialist. In this role, you will assess staff needs, design engaging learning experiences, coordinate the delivery of training programs (whether developed internally or sourced externally), and monitor the results. In addition, you will be responsible for administrative tasks related to the planning and delivery of training programs and services.



    Job Responsibilities
    • Gather information from subject matter experts, key stakeholders, and end users to define needs and requirements for a variety of learning solutions.
    • Lead a variety of training initiatives, managing all phases of the project including planning, design, development, execution and evaluation, meeting deadlines and organizational standards.
    • Deliver instructor-led training to a variety of audiences and at corporate training center and field offices.
    • Present and facilitate a variety of content and topics utilizing webinars and other remote instruction, and face-to-face instructor-led delivery.
    • Deliver interactive train the trainer workshops.
    • Handle logistics for training activities including participant registrations and arrival arrangements, venues, refreshments, speakers, media and equipment set-up.
    • Utilize Learning Management System to upload course documentation, administer pre-work, create registrations, and prepare reports.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions following accepted learning evaluation practices
    • Follow up on each training session to ensure customers’ training expectations are met.
    • Must be willing to travel as required.

    • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory, principles, and the measurement of training effectiveness
    • Experience coordinating multiple events and solid project management skills
    • Experience with LMS platforms
    • Strong analytical skills, able to collect and process information effectively
    • Proficient in Microsoft products, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint

    Education & Experience

    • BA/BS in related field and/or relevant work experience
    • 5 - 8 years' experience in training and development
    • Proven experience in the following areas include but not limited to:
      • The design, development, and implementation of learning programs
      • Communicating with a variety of groups at all levels
      • Managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
      • Managing learning curriculum or programs
      • LMS and Webinar tools
      • Quick learner, collaborative and familiarity with insurance industry a plus
