    ARCH US MI Services, Inc., is seeking a Software Engineer III in Greensboro, NC.

     

    Job Duties:                               Work with business users, product managers and business analysts to accurately capture stakeholder requests and system specifications and translate them into engineering artifacts, which typically include design specifications, source code, test scripts and test results. Coordinate with team of software architects and engineers to ensure that the engineering realization is in accordance with Enterprise Architecture principles and software development best practices. With Agile teams, complete building modern applications, RESTful Web services using Spring Boot including application design, coding, code review and testing using Java, Object-oriented language, relational database system SQL Server, JavaScript libraries and framework. Keep agile team and manager apprised of project status. Offer suggestions to stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve project and program objectives. Manage engineering risks by proactively tracking and communicating issues, and devising methods to mitigating them. Liaise with other project and program areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues. Support business units in the resolution of in-depth user questions and issues following production support process and SLA's. Maintain a working knowledge of new technology and software engineering standards, practices (Pair programming, Test-Driven development) and tools like (GitHub, Jenkins, etc). Collaborate with IT management to define and develop documentation & engineering artifact standards, guidelines, processes, and templates.

     

    Qualifications:                         Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or related position. Must have 2 years of experience with building high performance, highly scalable, Java based services; Object-oriented languages as well as functional design methodology using Java; Building modern applications with Spring Boot; Using advanced JavaScript libraries and framework; Developing and consuming APIs and Micro-Services to facilitate data access, business logic and workflow (RESTful JSON.); Optimizing CI/CD process and tools, testing frameworks and practices (GitHub,Jenkins);Relational database system SQL Server.

     

    In the alternate, will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or related position. Must have 2 years of experience with building high performance, highly scalable, Java based services; Object-oriented languages as well as functional design methodology using Java; Building modern applications with Spring Boot; Using advanced JavaScript libraries and framework; Developing and consuming APIs and Micro-Services to facilitate data access, business logic and workflow (RESTful JSON.); Optimizing CI/CD process and tools, testing frameworks and practices (GitHub,Jenkins);Relational database system SQL Server.
