    Responsibilities

    The Position

    The Associate Underwriter will provide assistance to the South Central Regional Property team in the maintenance and development of the E&S Property insurance portfolio.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist and learn policy forms and issuance, endorsement processing, reinsurance transactions, file organization, order and review inspection reports including recommendations, quote new and renewal business, process binders, review and underwrite new and renewal business, work with accounting to resolve outstanding balances.
    • Learn the E&S property business including analyzing and learning a multitude of occupancies, proper line settings and E&S guidelines.

    Qualifications

    Desired Skills

    • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize duties and multi-task.
    • Responsive with strong communications skills – both written and oral.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to form strong client relationships.

    Required Education/Experience 

    • Bachelor’s degree, with major in Business Administration or Finance preferred.
    • 1-2 years minimum insurance industry experience.
