    Responsibilities

    The Position

    Arch Re Fac’s Program Assistant is an integral part of the Arch Re Fac Programs Team, and its purpose of supporting ARF home-office staff in Farmington, and production staff department-wide, in the administration and underwriting of Program business (automatic facilities, pseudo-treaties, binding agreements, etc.) The Program Assistant also provides back-office support relative to the Program portfolio for the Finance and Claims areas of the company.

     

    Job Responsibilities

    • Supporting the administration may include:
      • Clear opportunities against existing department activity
      • Gather information and organize to facilitate the underwriters’ analysis
      • Interact with clients to obtain and/or verify opportunity’s information
      • Provide timely and accurate contract drafts and synopsis of changes in subsequent draft
      • Ensure all items on the Program checklist are dealt with for each opportunity by the appropriate resources and that all Program entries in ARF’s paperless documentation system are appropriately filed and labeled
      • Timely and accurate compilation of exposure information on in-force programs into central tracking repository
      • Follow-up with clients to chase down late bordereaux
      • Configure and maintain facilities within ARF’s web-based client transaction porta
    • Supporting the underwriting may include:
      • Preliminary analysis of Program opportunities, including rating and documentation of any assumptions made therein
      • Exposure interpretation and input into department systems/tools
      • Customization of tools to make more applicable to case at hand
    • Back-office support may include:
      • Provide timely and accurate written and estimated premium reports
      • Input key accounting data elements in premium tracking system

    Qualifications

    Desired Skills

    • Strong communication skills with attention to detail
    • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook

    Required Education/Experience 

    • Bachelor's degree degree in related field 
    • 2+ years of experience in the insurance experience required
