  • Overview

    The underwriting position is in the Large Commercial Group, one of Executive Assurance’s specialty units, which is responsible for underwriting and policy issuance of Directors and Officers liability, Employment Practices Liability and Fiduciary Liability coverage for public and private companies with revenues greater than $500M.  Candidate must be a highly-motivated, career-oriented individual who will be a key part of the Commercial team efforts for the Chicago office.  The position offers increasing levels of responsibility over time as the candidate develops experience.


    Key Responsibilities

    1. Market Arch’s products and services to wholesale and retail brokers in the Central Region
    2. Underwrite and price products, to include:
    • Exposure analysis
    • Financial analysis
    • Participation at meetings with senior executives from existing and prospective insured organizations
    • Policy contract review and rating
    • Claims review
    • Quoting and binding of new and renewal accounts according to our underwriting guidelines and strategy
    • Servicing brokers and customers

    Education and Experience

    • Education & Experience: BA or BS, ideally with a degree/major in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting.
    • 2-5 years of D&O or E&O insurance underwriting experience preferred, but will consider applicants with other business experience.
    • Industry specific study and designations (such as RPLU, CPCU) will be encouraged.
