  • The Position

    Partner with Actuarial Pricing and Business Unit teams to support enterprise-wide strategic projects.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Perform and support development of portfolio management tools
    • Maintain and make enhancements to tools, working with business units and pricing actuaries as appropriate
    • Provide information in support of business review process and executive reporting
    • Provide actuarial support in coordination with Finance on the budget/planning process
    • Work with pricing actuaries on enterprise-wide and department-wide initiatives as they arise

    Desired Skills/Experience

    Education & Experience:

    • The candidate must have a Bachelors degree – preferably in a related field (i.e., Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science).
    • Two to five years of P&C work experience is necessary. Primary pricing experience is strongly preferred.
    • Two to five Casualty Actuarial Society exams is required.


    Key Competencies:

    • Ability to work accurately and efficiently with large amounts of data
    • Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Builds trusting relationships and works effectively with underwriters
    • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills


    Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
    • Working knowledge of database tools and languages, e.g. Microsoft PowerPivot, Cognos, SQL
