    Responsibilities

    The Position

    The Senior Graphic Designer plays a vital role in producing branding and communications material that visually represents our brand and demonstrates our professionalism and innovation globally to our employees and in the marketplace. We work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment so the ability to prioritize and work well under pressure while maintaining high levels of creativity is crucial.

    The individual has a full understanding of the brand identity guidelines and is responsible for maintaining them across all Arch Capital Group business segments.

    This is a highly creative position focused on producing fresh, yet stable designs, including but not limited to email campaigns and templates, website design and graphics, social media, posters, signage, presentations, video graphics and storyboards, banners, signage, presentations and white papers.

    The role reports directly to, and works closely with, the Assistant Vice President, Branding Services to refine and maintain brand identity standards.

     

    Job Responsibilities

    • Serves as primary graphic and web designer, producing all creative from concept to completion.
    • Develop, refine and maintain comprehensive brand identity guide for global use.
    • Ensure that client brand experiences are designed and produced according to strategic concept and true to brand’s principles, while still contributing fresh ideas.
    • Provide training and guidance to business segments and creative teams on the use of the brand. Review work, troubleshoot and provide feedback to creative teams and business units that align all communications from print, digital, and social platforms.
    • Develop and produce all visual aspects of corporate intranet and external website to transform current systems into a responsive design improving communication flows and user experience for users.
    • Collaborate with team members to solve design/communications problems and offer solutions that are creative, realistic and on brand.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills

    • Extensive knowledge of graphic/web design, WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and After Effects).
    • Proficient understanding of video editing and HTML.
    • A strong design aesthetic and understanding with a solid grasp on typography, color and layout.
    • Expert proficiency in MS office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to prepare design files for offset and digital printing.
    • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone, video, and email.
    • Ability to work in a high-energy, collaborative, team-oriented environment. Must be a team player.
    • Effective time management. The ability to prioritize work, multitask, and the initiative and drive to complete projects under stress while maintaining a positive attitude and a pleasant demeanor.

    Education/Experience 

    • An AA, BA or BFA degree in graphic design (or related field) preferred.
    • 5-10 years professional graphic design experience in digital and print; ad agency experience a plus.
    • B2B global brand experience in Insurance and Financial Services industry is a strong plus.
