    Responsibilities

    The Position

    The Senior Accountant, Consolidations and Reporting, will be responsible for maintaining the global financial consolidation system and generating quarterly consolidated U.S. GAAP financial statements, including consolidated management data. This role will support the administration of the global financial consolidation application (OneStream XF). Additionally, the candidate will liaise with the local and segment financial teams around the globe, accounting policy professionals, as well as internal and external auditors.

     

    Job Responsibilities

    • Generate quarterly consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP within designated timelines
    • Create, maintain, and update financial reports and forms
    • Ensure intercompany and related party transactions are identified and properly recorded and eliminated, including investigating out–of-balance positions
    • Update consolidation mapping tables (entity, accounts, intercompany, etc.) on a timely basis
    • Liaise with consultants on future enhancements of the consolidation system to perform maintenance and periodic system upgrades
    • Assist with external/internal audit requests and SOX process
    • Contribute to the preparation and review of financial statements, related footnote disclosures, and supporting detail schedules

    Qualifications

    Desired Skills

    • Knowledge and application of U.S. GAAP, including foreign currency translation rules
    • Desire to work with financial systems
    • Ability to work in a demanding environment within designated deadlines
    • Critical thinking skills, along with good decision making and problem solving abilities
    • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and accountable
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience in the reinsurance industry
    • Public accounting experience and/or CPA certification, a plus 

    Required Education/Experience 

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or finance
    • 2+ years’ of financial consolidations experience
    • Solid skills and experience with financial and accounting reporting systems/applications (e.g., OneStream, Hyperion, SAP, Oracle)
    • Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, VBA)
