  • The Position

    The Learning Management System Administrator (LMS) will independently manage Arch MI’s LMS (Arch U) to provide employee development learning and programs in the most user-friendly and effective way possible. Extensive experience in administration of and Level 2+ troubleshooting in various LMS environments is critical to the success of this role. This role will maintain full responsibility for ensuring continued smooth integration of HR data loads, uploading content, minor coding using HTML, Javascript, XML, and CSS, and working with vendor on RFP/RFE/AFE process when necessary.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Independently manage LMS with thorough understanding of system capabilities and limitations, troubleshoot and be able to use problem-solving abilities to provide direction on how to achieve an exceptional desired end-user experience.

     

     

    • Manage, document processes and procedures and administer appropriate level of training on the LMS to team members in order for team to plan curriculum, schedule classes, add resources, send notifications to participants, monitor enrollment, market classes, and perform Level 1 troubleshooting when needed.

     

     

    • Partner closely with L&D Team, LMS Admins and other business segments to determine new system design, identify improvements or make recommendations for enhancements.

     

     

    • Ensure all learning and resources are loaded into the LMS and work properly for end users while maintaining organization of resources through an effective content strategy.

     

     

    • Be able to create and support enhanced functionality such as micro-learning initiatives, gamification, collaboration, custom reports and complex programs.

     

     

    • Proactively manage upcoming system changes and integrations with vendors, ensuring a smooth integration for Arch MI employees and holding vendors accountable to their SLAs.

     

     

    • Create and maintain HR data feeds, troubleshoot and identify appropriate fixes.

     

     

     

     

     

    Desired Skills/Experience

    • Docebo LMS knowledge and experience

     

     

    • Microsoft SQL Server Certication

     

     

    • Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, instructional technology, educational technology, or related field

     

     

    • Experience designing and developing online learning

     

     

    • PMP Certification

     

     

     

     

    Required Skills/Experience

    • 7-10 years proven experience managing various LMSs

     

     

    • 5-7 years experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting learning, talent management, gamification, collaboration, mentor and succession planning programs using LMS software

     

     

    • 5 years experience working with HR vendors to obtain personnel data for LMS data feed

     

     

    • 5 years experience administering online training using authoring tools like Articulate, Vyond (previously GoAnimate), etc.

     

     

    • Sound problem solving, decision making, creativity, planning, interpersonal, influential and organizational skills

     

     

    • Proficient in HTML, Javascript/coding, XML, CSS, MS Office

     

     

     

     

     

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, instructional technology, educational technology, or related field required.
