The Position

The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans that will raise visibility and awareness of the Arch Insurance brand with our brokers and customers in North America.

Job Responsibilities

This position is directly accountable for the following responsibilities:



  • Act as a liaison between marketing and other functional teams, including corporate communications, distribution, claims, product development, and underwriting.
  • Work with Outside Agency and Travel & Events for design and execution of advertising campaigns, industry conferences, and seminars.
  • Collaborate with corporate stakeholders to drive brand recognition through 3rd party endorsements and accolades.


  • Design communications programs that effectively describe and promote Arch’s brand.
  • Maintain a content development plan to support underwriting and distribution activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing managers to develop and support integrated campaigns to launch or promote different products through a variety of communications channels including digital, social, and email.
  • Plan and drive market events such as regional broker/client seminars, trade shows and exhibitions.


  • Develop differentiated messaging across geographies, segments, and communications channels.
  • Oversee the production of collateral including playbooks, presentations, capabilities material, and success stories.
  • Write copy for broker communications and product marketing material as well as employment branding and community activities.
  • Manage research and development of thought leadership content including white papers, speeches, and conference presentations.
  • Monitor & maintain inventory of collateral materials and sales promotional items.
  • Ensure timely execution of projects within budget.


  • Coordinates with Business Unit Marketing (Retail and Wholesale) to measure the execution of marketing activities.

Desired Skills/Experience

Key Competencies:

  • 5+ years of relevant marketing communications experience, ideally within P&C insurance or financial services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-organized, self-starting professional with high ethical standards.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience prioritizing work; demonstrated project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects.
  • A strong focus on detail and accuracy of work.

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Experience managing social media campaigns: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook.
  • Strongly proficient using Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point.
  • Experience working with Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation tools: Pardot, Eloqua, etc.

Expected Travel:

  • 25% domestic travel or as needed



  • Undergraduate degree with a concentration in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations.
