The Position

The Arch MI Digital Product Management team has responsibility for solving human and business problems with new technology. This role drives the product strategy, product roadmap development, and market delivery/operation of the product offering. The Digital Product Manager will work closely with business stakeholders, customers and agile product team members to effectively execute against digital initiatives. The incumbent will be a highly customer focused product manager with experience product strategy, value delivery and product lifecycle management.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Participate in market research, market validation and whitespace analysis to identify new opportunities for existing and new features and functionality
  2. Partner with business owners and agile product teams to build product roadmaps that will be incorporated in to the broader company product portfolio plan
  3. Foster close relationships with key market constituents to validate product strategy and roadmap
  4. Plan, prioritize, and manage the product vision and features from conceptual stages through the product lifecycle to solve customer problems in a way that is viable for the ArchMI business and feasible for our technology team to implement.
  5. Work with IT and Business partners to ensure the digital products in operation are well understood and supported
  6. Partners with business and technical teams to plan and prioritize system releases and specific release content.
  7. Assist with preparation of business case (financial/ROI) analysis to quantify & determine the value to the company of a current or potentially new system/application.
  8. Understands the business and follows the agile software development framework and processes

Required Skills/Experience

Knowledge & Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of product management with emphasis on agile software development processes
  2. Ability to craft a product vision and convert that into a concrete roadmap
  3. A background in mortgage industry, insurance or financial services
  4. Experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions for building best in class digital products
  5. Understanding of usability and user experience best practices
  6. Experience defining digital content experiences (experience with mortgage products helpful)
  7. Ability to evaluate, analyze and interpret the voice of the customer through a variety of data sources
  8. Ability to be strategic and tactical in day to day interactions
  9. Demonstrated knowledge of digital channels and platforms (e.g., web, mobile, client PC, partner products, social, video)
  10. Ability to establish credibility, influence and effective working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  11. Ability to overcome internal barriers and negotiate constraints to produce successful digital initiatives
  12. Good communication and presentation skills.
  13. Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven and rapidly changing environment.

Education

Education & Experience:

Required knowledge & skills would typically be acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or related field (or equivalent in experience) with 3 to 5 years or related experience.

MBA preferred.
